I went with some friends and saw UC Riverside put on a production of this while I was attending UC Irvine my freshman year. I loved it. The story, the costumes, and especially the music.
Jill thinks I'm weird. One of my favorite songs? "Madame Guillotine". For some reason, it just stuck with me. The onomatopoeia and the catchy tune... anyway. I'm always looking for a good recording to show/play for Jill. I just found this recording this morning: Madame Guillotine (YouTube)
If you've never read this or seen the movie or play, you are SERIOUSLY missing out on one of the best stories ever!
